Good news: Riu Palace Costa Rica will be under renovation until March 2027

Continuing with its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in hospitality, Riu Hotels & Resorts announced that the Riu Palace Costa Rica hotel, located in the paradisiacal region of Guanacaste, will begin a comprehensive renovation and modernization process starting on August 31, 2026. The iconic resort, known for its luxury service and Pacific views, will remain temporarily closed until March 12, 2027, with a reopening scheduled for March 13, 2027. During this period, the Riu Guanacaste hotel, which is next to Riu Palace, will remain open, hosting people who want to visit the area.

This renovation is part of Riu's global plan to update its property portfolio in the Caribbean and Central America, focusing on more sustainable, comfortable spaces in line with the new trends of international tourism.
