Tours with Frank the Tank

This is the only place in Costa Rica that you can walk inside an active crater. Before arriving to the volcano we will stop in the most amazing waterfall in Guanacaste where you can swim on it and enjoy the surrounding nature. After that we will go to the Miravalles volcano where you will see and feel the steam escaping from the boilers, because of that here is the unique place that offers you the authentic natural sauna experience. You will get into the real volcanic mud baths with proven therapeutic qualities because of the clay minerals, the only hot springs in Costa Rica that you can see them natural boiling inside the crater. Also Enjoy a Horseback riding or tractor safari to visit the volcano slopes into the Tropical Rain Forest, with one hanging bridge where we can appreciate a beautiful hidden waterfall and the majestic rainforest around.

You can combine this tour with one optional activity that can be one of this two options.

• Zip lining: unique forest zip line in the area, with 8 lines, 12 platforms; you will fly over the jungle testing your adrenaline.
• River tubing, on the bottom of the canyon enjoy this awesome activity full of adventure and fun. Great to refresh in the river.

This optional activity has a separate prices from the tour of $35 plus Tax per person. If you choose to do it we have to add the cost to the tour price, also it have to be reserved on the booking day.

Note: This is the only volcano tour recommended for seniors and people with some kind of mobility issues but still have some activities or areas that can be difficult according to the person capabilities. Please check the pictures here and request more if needed to make sure it is acquired to you.

The tour includes: lunch, transportation, tour guide and all the mentioned activities.
We recommend to bring: Camera, swimming suits, towels, binoculars, change of clothes, mosquito repellent, sun block, hiking shoes/boots, water shoes.

Departure 7:20 am- Comeback around 5:00pm

- This is an open group tour that can have around 15 people participating.
- If you want this tour private you must specify that on your request to get an accurate price for private service according to the amount of people you have.

Price:

-From Papagayo area $155+tax per person

-From Dreams Las Mareas $205+tax per person plus Tax.

(Request lower price if is 5 people or more).

-From Tamarindo area $205+tax per person plus Tax.

(Request lower price if is 5 people or more).

-Kids 4 to 9 years old pay $20 less than adults.

-From some hotels outside our working areas the price may vary a little because of the distance so we have to add pick up and drop off cost.

Costa Rica has a 13% sales taxes over the prices that will be added.
